A new distillery for Sagamore Spirits is under construction, as part of the plan headed by Under Armour’s Kevin Plank to revamp Port Covington in Baltimore. Sagamore’s new site consists of four buildings, including a distilling center, a processing plant, and a restaurant. Not only is it intended to serve as the main location for Sagamore’s Rye production, but to draw visitors to the area as well. Built on a former railyard, the new distillery will blend the historical aspects of Baltimore with the more modern.
With a warehouse nearby, Kenseal was the premier choice to provide the materials necessary on this project so close to home. Sales representative Brian Heil is working closely with Royals Commercial Services to provide waterproofing and air barrier services for the project. The products in use are GCP’s Bituthene® 4000 and Henry’s Air-Bloc® 31 – both of which are successfully getting the job done.
