9 months ago when A.H. Harris acquired Kenseal the door was opened for great opportunities here in New England. It is said that ”Success is when Opportunity meets Preparation”. We could not be more excited at our potential. We have been preparing for years! Our Kenseal Boston team has a combined 46 years in the industry with a primary focus on the waterproofing, sealant and air vapor barrier markets. I would say 46 years is a substantial amount of preparation. So what happens when we add another 30 years of industry experience to the equation? I’d say the sky’s the limit!
In 2017 we are tapping into that additional 30 years of preparation and industry know-how as we have tasked Dan Clark to seize the moment and help Harris/Kenseal take full advantage of the opportunities ahead of our team in New England. Most recently in the role of Business Development for A.H. Harris in New England and throughout his tenure at Harris, Dan has been responsible for identifying new products, manufacturer’s and market opportunities that have helped differentiate us from our competition. Always looking forward, Dan’s efforts have kept our “One Team” ahead of the curve. Herein lies his two-fold mission.
Dan has been tasked with helping the Kenseal Boston Sales Team to recognize opportunities to cross sell traditional Harris Product lines to their current contractor base. Doing so will allow our customers to have one point of contact for all their Waterproofing, Repair and Restoration and Concrete Forming, Shoring and Accessory needs. Eager to venture beyond the norm our Kenseal team will have the opportunity to offer a deeper level of service as we learn more of the 5,500 additional Stock Keeping Units, that are now available to us and our customers.
Part two of Dan’s mission is equally exciting. We are bringing the traditional Kenseal product offering north. We are focusing on the great State of Maine and our “Live Free or Die” State of New Hampshire. The initiative is to utilize our sales teams in the Harris Bangor, Augusta, Portland, Portsmouth, Manchester and West Lebanon locations. Dan will be working with these locations offering education on Division 7 product lines and recognizing sales opportunities.
Dan and I have spent the past 30 days meeting with select vendors and gaining support for our initiative. Throughout New England our initiative (Go Dan Go) affords our customers the opportunity to work with a single local supplier, eliminating multiple stops and numerous invoices. Our Sales Teams can now service a job from below the slab to on top of the roof! No other supply team can offer the locations, service capability, product mix, years of experience and people that the Harris Companies can.
