“Hello, My name is Robert and I am proud to call myself a Veteran of this great country’s military. I feel very fortunate to work for a company that is so patriotic. We have many veterans that work here at A.H. Harris, and the Patriotism that is ever present at Harris is a great feeling. I have the privilege of working directly with the great institution of West Point, and also service Stewart Air base, so I am surrounded by Military and Military pride. Almost every day I have the honor of shaking the hand of someone who has served or continues to serve our county. I make it a priority to thank them for all the wonderful things they do to make OUR country the best in the world.
Now having said all that, the heartbeat of A.H. Harris, Kim Corwin, got involved in this great idea of the Red T-Shirts supporting all the troops that have been deployed. Each and every Harris employee has been given a shirt and on Fridays our associates wear them proudly. I know I will be wearing mine, along with the rest of my team (R.E.D. = Remember Everyone Deployed).
Having served 4 years in the US NAVY, I for one am so proud to be an American Veteran. And when I see and feel the patriotism everywhere I go, it makes me even prouder. I have several friends with children in the service that I am extremely proud of as well. I know that without our troops and all the things they do to protect our freedoms, we could not do the things we all have grown up to take for granted. We must not forget that freedom is NOT free. For the amazing men and women that are willing to sacrifice it ALL so we can continue to live our lives, I say GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU ALL.”
Rob is branch manager at Harris’ Rock Tavern, NY location. He is one of many associates who served. Thank you Rob and everyone else! #HarrisPride
R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) Fridays asks everyone to wear the color red to let our servicemen and servicewomen know that we have not forgotten them, and that we appreciate their sacrifice for the country. While wearing a specific colored shirt might seem like a trivial act, the meaning behind it is actually significant. It translates to mean that as you prepared for your day, you recognized that others are playing an active role to allow you to go to work with relative peace of mind that you and your loved ones are safe. Our nation’s service members are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. They willingly ensure our safety and freedom.
