The Harris Fairfield NJ Team chooses CUMAC as their Harris Cares charity – giving back to the community!
So far the Fairfield team has raised over $400 in cash (A.H. Harris is matching up to $400 of funds raised) and collected close to 200 lbs in canned and dry foods to donate.
In addition to fundraising and collecting donations the team spent a Saturday in late March volunteering at the CUMAC facility in Paterson, NJ – painting, separating and bagging goods, reorganizing the thrift shop and warehouse and overall doing whatever they could to help out.
Because many of the Fairfield team members’ roots are from Paterson, including Regional Vice President Dennis Orozco and Branch Manger Jesus Flores, it was very important to them to choose a charity that helped the Local community.
- CUMAC feeds over 40k families yearly in Passaic County. 1 in 3 being children, 1 in 6 disabled and 1 in 8 senior citizen.
- CUMAC also provides Job Training, abuse counseling and help with housing.
According to Fairfield Inside Sales Jose Abreu, “I think I speak for everyone who was able to attend, it was truly an honor to help such an organization.” For more info on CUMAC, visit their website at www.cumac.org
